A store is not like any other site
A store does things a normal site does not:
- It stores orders and customer data
- It calculates stock and prices on every visit
- It runs heavier, especially at checkout
- It goes down at the worst moment — when traffic spikes during a sale or a season
That is why a plan that is enough for a blog is not enough for a store.
The most important line in the plan: backups
This is the thing most people skip, and it is the most dangerous one for a store.
Imagine something breaks on Thursday, and the last backup was Sunday. You restore the store to its Sunday state — meaning every order from four days is gone.
Not just money. Customers who paid and whose orders you cannot find.
So: your store needs daily backups, not weekly.
These are the plans in our table that actually have daily backups:
| Plan | Backups | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger Unlimited | Daily, with easy restore | EGP 209 |
| Flashcloud Scale | Daily | EGP 433 |
| Hostinger Cloud Startup | Daily and on demand | EGP 319 |
Cheaper plans back up weekly. Fine for a blog, not for a store taking orders.
Prices are read from our table when you open the page. See the comparison page for the latest.
The rest of what you need
Enough resources. WordPress with WooCommerce, a theme and plugins eats more memory than a normal site. When resources run short, checkout breaks first — the worst possible place.
An SSL certificate. Mandatory for anything taking payment. It is free everywhere now, so do not pay for one. Read what an SSL certificate is.
Speed. Every extra second of load time makes people abandon the cart. Read site speed and hosting.
Reasonable storage. Product images add up. 50 GB is comfortable for a mid-sized store.
What we recommend
For a store just starting
Hostinger Unlimited at EGP 209/mo.
- Daily backups with easy restore
- 50 GB NVMe
- Unlimited websites
- CDN
- Free domain for a year
This is the cheapest plan in our table with daily backups. That is the line that matters for a store.
For a store already selling
Hostinger Cloud Startup at EGP 319/mo — higher resources, 100 GB, and daily plus on-demand backups.
Once you are taking orders every day, the price difference pays for itself with the first sale that would have been lost to downtime.
If you do not want to build the store yourself
Flashcloud Scale at EGP 433/mo — daily backups, 100 GB, and higher resources for busy sites. It also includes a human team that builds the site inside the subscription.
One thing to budget for
The first-year price is a promotion. Renewal after that:
| Plan | First year | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger Unlimited | EGP 209 | EGP 349 |
| Flashcloud Scale | EGP 433 | EGP 1,173 |
Put the second number in your budget now. Read hosting renewal prices.
Quick questions
Can I start cheaper and upgrade later?
You can, but daily backups are not a luxury for a store. If you start cheap, at least take a manual backup every day until you upgrade.
Does a store need its own server?
Not at first. Shared is fine until orders are daily and numerous. Read shared vs VPS.
I have a store running and want to move it?
Most companies migrate it free. The method is in migrating your hosting — and move during quiet hours.
Anything specific to WooCommerce?
Yes, and we covered it in WooCommerce store hosting.
